To help you create your first test, start with a test from our template library.
We know that using software for the first time can be tricky, especially when there are lots of fields, buttons and options. Our template library is designed to help guide you through the various core testing features offered on UsabilityHub by showing you some effective use-cases in practice.
To launch the template library, click on the down arrow next to the Create new test button and select From template.
From here, you can see example test templates from some different testing methodologies.
When you select an option, you can then access a template where we have pre-filled a test with this test section and content that demonstrates an effective use-case for that test type. You can also explore what each test type is best used for, how it works in UsabilityHub and what sections are used in each template.
You can preview what the test template looks like for participants by clicking play on the video. Enlarge the video by clicking the fullscreen icon in the bottom right hand corner.
You can create a new test from this template by clicking on Start with this template. This will create a new test using the template you’ve selected.
These templates have been designed to help you understand how the test types are used in practice. They’re not complex - in fact, we designed them to be simple and straightforward. Just remember, that every question you ask creates a set of responses you need to read and synthesize later.
The templates are simple enough that you should be able to swap out the imagery and tweak the questions to best suit your project. Most of the templates have been designed to be used with our panel, so once you’ve customized your content, head to the recruitment stage and send out your test.
If you have any questions about customizing or processing results using these templates, feel free to reach out to us for help at support@usabilityhub.com or via chat from your UsabilityHub dashboard.
